Team of Reptiles

Heres a concept that Im wondering if I should use:

Like the devils teaming up with the rex, there are these snake guys with the Helligator. Both want to get rid of the human population, but the devils want to keep the city and live there while the snake people want the city completely destroyed and nature returned.
The devils' skin prevents them from being digested and they work with the trex to get people. The snake skin does not protect them from acid, but they have more control of their partners. The snakes believe the gator may be able to digest the devils and are ready to basically go to war over this city.

I do know the snake people will NOT be a predator like the devil. I originally got the snake man for my non vore works on my other account, but havent used them yet. I want to use them, Im just looking for a good purpose for them.

Is this a good concept or is it doomed to fail? Im asking because I started using the devil like this and so far he has not been a fan favorite (as a predator, I dont know how well everyone likes him as prey). The snake people would be seen as prey and probably eaten by rex while the devil would be hunted by gators. So, good or bad idea?
